    Sick

    This is Ally.

    As you all saw in the video blog, I've been sick since Monday.  I'm finally starting to feel a little better, but my eating and exercising has definitely been slacking do to me not feeling well.  I'm sure you all have the same problems when you are sick.  So I'm just curious if anyone can give any advice as to how to stay on track through illness.

    When I'm sick I try to balance taking care of myself with eating well.  It's tempting to throw the whole eating plan out the window and gravitate toward the comfort foods.  Eat soup (progresso has some great low calorie soups), drink tea, stay warm.  Don't stress too much about exercise because there's nothing you can do about being sick.  Make being sick different than it's been in the past by eating healthy.  Take Care!  ~Michelle

    Hey Ally!  When I'm sick, I am quite the opposite.  I make sure I eat right because of the fact that I can't workout.  The best food during illness is chicken noodle soup, so I make sure I stock up on the low fat low sodium kind.  I also LOVE grilled cheese, so I stock up on 2% cheese slices.  I also make sure I have plenty of low calorie snacks in case I want to munch.  Hope this helps!
